Local, District and International Projects


T
he Zonta Club of Kyneton's projects include:
  •  Purchase of a virtual baby for the ‘Baby, think it over’ program at a local school,
  •  Purchase of a commercial coffee machine to support a vocational program at Tarrengower Prison.
  • Seminars and workshops on finance for women, support strategies for older people and skills development for women interested in nominating for election to local government.
  • Support for the Bushfire Relief program at Redesdale following the 2009 fires.
  • Most recently the Club hosted a community forum: “Connecting Women’s Voices”.

The Zonta Club of Kyneton hosts annual local events for women in our community, such as:
  • Young Women's Career Breakfast for Year 11 girls from local schools.
  • International Women's Day Dinner.

  •  White Ribbon Day,
  •  An Australia Day breakfast in Kyneton.

Birthing Kit Day August 2011
The Club is actively involved in District 23 projects:
  •   Assembling Birthing Kits for distribution to developing countries
  •   Making Breast Cushions for women who have been diagnosed with breast surgery.

The Club also supports Zonta International’s scholarship programs and international service projects with annual donations to Zonta International Foundation.
