About Us
The Zonta Club of Kyneton is a member of the worldwide service organisation Zonta International which was founded in Buffalo, New York, USA in 1919. Zonta International is a leading global organisation of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
Zonta International's culturally and professionally diverse membership includes more than 30,000 members in 64 countries. Around the world, members volunteer their time and talents to support local and international service projects and educational programs.
The Zonta Club of Kyneton, chartered in 1994, is part of District 23 and is one of eight clubs in regional Victoria that make up Area 4. The club initiates and funds projects that support women in our own community, cooperates with other local community service organisations and supports District 23 projects.
Through club and personal donations to the Zonta Foundation for Women, members support major projects that help women in developing countries and help to fund prestigious awards to young women studying at secondary and tertiary levels.
